Upcoming PJ Library Events – August

We have two great outdoor events coming up this month.

This weekend, Sunday, August 15th, we are holding round 2 of our Picnic and Book swap! Pack a picnic lunch and join us at Optimist park under the large shaded pavilion from approximately 12:30-2:30. Popsicles, snacks, and drinks provided! The kids can play on the playground, participate in a Rosh Hashanah craft, and preview some of the books sent out by PJ Library each month.

On August 24th, we will be hosting a morning baby/toddler meet-up, in a convenient shaded outdoor location near coffee and snacks. (You must RSVP to jfhna.pj@gmail.com for details.)

These events will be led by current PJ coordinators Kathy Stora and Sarah Willis, as Cassandra had to take a medical leave of absence. Hopefully she will be able to participate again soon. In the mean time, meet our new coordinators!

Kathy will be focusing on PJ Library and Our Way events. She moved here from Northern Virginia with her family near the end of 2019. They have two boys, age 10 and 8, who are in the PJ Our Way and PJ Library programs respectively. They have been active in the Jewish community here and Kathy also does programming for families at Temple B’nai Sholom. We are excited to continue meeting families in the area!

Sarah will be leading baby / toddler playgroups. Sarah is from the Tennessee Valley, and works as a nurse and lactation consultant. She and her husband have two girls, age 6 and 3, with another baby on the way this fall.

Welcome, Kathy and Sarah, and thank you for your help! These ladies are amazing.
